Meet Tyler James Firey

Thanks for visiting.  This Page is a Continual Work in Progress lovingly contributed to by Tyler's Mom and Dad (Ray & Diana Firey) and Tyler's siblings (Chris Firey & Angela Firey-Stewart.)  We will be contributing videos and writings to it as we go along.

Music was such a part of Tyler's life here on earth.  His parents and brother and sister are also musical.  Music being eternal, we can easily picture Tyler still creating and performing music up in Heaven.  Below are videos of songs by Tyler, those in tribute to Tyler and also his Celebrations of Life videos as well as Fine Arts First in State selections played by Tyler.  This webpage will be added to with other tributes to Tyler  (musical and written) as we go along.

Tyler Musical Tributes

Here are the initial videos we'd like to post.   Starting out are the main Celebration of Life Video in tribute to Tyler plus one that is an auxiliary one with more fun content.  Then there is the scripture reminder of 2 Corinthians 5:8 reminding us that the real Tyler is not six feet under nearby but is with Jesus in Heaven.  Tyler's mom wrote this song back in the mid 1980's and has sang this at several funerals (one of her friends loved this song and was killed in a car wreck-Diana sang this at her funeral.)  Ray Firey, Tyler's dad, wrote "They Were All There" shortly after Tyler passed.  We used Band In A Box Technology to create the track, but tell me if it doesn't look like Tyler's actually playing the piano when his video appears.

Tyler was a fabulous musician.  The next two videos are his musical pieces that won State on Piano in the Fine Arts Festival of the Assemblies of God.  The first piece is Moonlight Sonata-It Is Well Arrangement (2008) and the second is a complex arrangement of Sing Hallelujah To the Lord (2009).

The final video, Grandma's House, was inspired by passing my mom and dad's old house all of the time in taking my grandson home.  I would point out the house that I grew up in when I was a teenager.  Being a songwriter and musician, I felt inspired to write about "Grandma's House".  Tyler loved visiting his Grandma and Granddad.  I wrote the song shortly before Easter 2024 and presented it at a large family Easter gathering at our house.   I played it for Tyler and he said he liked the song but he was reluctant to join us in our family gathering.  He left this world a few days after that Easter.  I wrote it with ALL of the grandchildren in mind but this song turned out to be prophetic in Tyler's case.  (I changed it for his Celebration of Life video to just be centered on him.)  But I'm presenting the song here in its original form.  It is in the other form in Tyler's Celebration of Life video.  So you will find that bittersweet YouTube video last.  Please check back, we will be changing up the website now and then.
